I hate to even say how helpful this book is! Since I am an RN people call me for suggestions with cold sores, insect bites, stomach virus, sinus congestion, etc. I just pull out "Smart Medicine" and have a variety of suggestions on things that work well. A family member was having prostate problems and the doctor prescribed medication that caused heart palpatations as a side effect. The second type of medicine prescribed also caused irregular heart beat. "Smart Medicine" suggested Sal Palmetto which is a natural herb and has worked well without the side effects. Also the information on warts has been very effective. I keep an extra copy or two on hand to give to friends and relatives because "Smart Medicine" is like having a friend with just the right advice close by.

I am a nurse (RN) and I just love this book (also the one for Healthier Children)It gives you the traditional (allopathic) treatment that you can expect if you go to the dr.and alternatives - including diet and supplements to treat your ailments.It even includes things such as aromatherapy and body work.Just a great resource to have on hand.

Every single family should own this book. Take control of your health and do your own research rather than just believing what other people/doctors tell you to do. This book gives you advice from ALL perspectives....so you can make an educated decision on how to handle your issues. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

If you are going to buy only one book on health, it has to be this one. This book is very complete and easy to use. This book explains conventional and natural treatments and has a wide list of common problems or illnesses. First they describe the problem thoroughly and then describe the treatments for it, it allows you to compare the conventional and natural treatments and decide what's best for you. I am very interested in health issues and disease prevention and I read a lot about it, I have bought various books on the subject and this one is by far my favorite!!!

I've purchased all volumes up to 22 and the TV show has just about caught up to wear I am in the novels. These books are friggen awesome. I don't read much and my buddy lent me VOL 1 after he knew I liked the show. Well, I burned through the first one and then just went on a tear buying 4 volumes at a time...the price is pretty good for what you get out of these. $9-$15 is the range I've paid per novel, I'm not sure why they aren't the same but anyways, I keep buying them none the less. The story was written before the TV Show and the show follows the story but there is some differences. The written story is more violent and graphic then the tv show but the tv show does a decent job of sticking with main ideas. I've noticed that certain plot things that happen in the book also happen in the show but there is a unique twist like a different character it happens to or something like that. Which makes reading these volumes great cuz I have some idea of where the story is going (after having watched all tv episodes) but there are still surprises. If you like the TV show and haven't read these, give it a try and you will get a whole new experience of the Walking Dead story. I'm putting this same review under every volume I've purchased (1-22) so people can see it. go buy these!

Let's face it; zombies are so big right now. TWD show is the highest rated TV series and TWD has become a household name or family night viewing. I enjoyed the show... at first, but the further it departs from the comic, the more I see how great the comic was (and always has been). The comic is leaps and bounds better than the show for many reasons, and will always be better with exception to Daryl Dixon- seriously, that's the only thing the show has over the comic that's better. The story and all the characters are written much better in the comics, even though the show has the luxury of showing facial expressions and body language mannerisms not able to be captured on paper. The gore in the comic is incredibly high on the disturbing scale, and that's cool in my opinion- it has to be for a zombie series because it makes everything that much more shocking and emotional to see/read when your beloved character gets viciously killed. As the comic series goes on, the story may slow down in parts, but the overall sense of dread and continuity never changes, as opposed to the show where continuity goes out the window more and more. By this point in time for the characters in the comic, they have experienced almost everything a zombie apocalypse has to offer (so we think). But Rick and company discover how hard it can be to run a community in the infected world without becoming like the Governor (Woodbury) and with fewer defenses and luxuries that Woodbury had. No one is safe in this universe, and I like it. I'll be buying these volumes until the comic stops. The Trade Paperbacks are my preferred choice because of their values online compared to the compendiums.

i have read all the collected volumes. some people complain about how the story starts to lag in some of the volumes, and those people are silly. the story is great and those moments where the story slows down, is what makes it even more interesting. i used to read marvel comics and it seemed like all those mutant characters barely had time to use the bathroom and eat lunch. the stories moved to fast and they were going from one battle the next. they never got a break. even as a kid i wondered, how the heck do they keep going? with the walking dead, it feels real when things get quiet and slow. it gives you time to understand the characters.

After the murder of Douglas' wife, Rick and his people begin to step up as the leaders of the Alexandria community against the wishes of many residents. But, the people of Alexandria have a much bigger problem that they must deal with together when they discover they are surrounded by a massive herd of roamers.

Came fast in perfect condition. The comic book is actually better than expected. Its beautiful, I love this.

Just another intense volume of Walking Dead, very similar to the TV show but also very different in some ways.

This book was filled with action and violence. Overall I found this book to be very entertaining and one of the better stories in the series.

It's a great read. I'm a big fan of the series. I will not rate each volume separately or go into the story but I do recommend the series. I will copy and paste this review for each volume.

My ten-year-old reads well above grade level, but is still reluctant. Like many boys, he just doesn't want to sit still long enough to get through a story! He likes adventure stories, so I thought he would enjoy listening to the audio version of "Unbroken," while following along in the book. No dice. I lost him at the word "dirigible."So I was delighted to learn that a young adult version was on the horizon, and I immediately pre-ordered both the Kindle and audio versions. I am pleased to report that I think this will do the trick.Of course, the first thing I did upon receiving the new version, was to turn to Chapter One to see if the word "dirigible" had been changed! It is now "airship." Then I went back to the beginning and did a side-by-side comparison of both. The changes were immediately apparent:On the first page, the previous version read: Somewhere on the endless expanse of the Pacific Ocean, Army Air Forces bombardier and Olympic runner Louie Zamperini lay across a small raft, drifting westward.The new version read: Somewhere on the Pacific Ocean, American military airman and Olympic runner Louie Zamperini lay on a small raft, drifting.In a nutshell, Hillenbrand deleted "the endless expanse of," and simplified Zamperini's title from "Army Air Forces bombardier," to "American military airman."Looking randomly through the two books, I'm seeing other instances of abridgement, as well as simplified language. I have high hopes that my young reader will now enjoy this story. I'm excited at the prospect, as I think our children need to read more stories about people like Mr. Zamperini. He is easily the bravest, most remarkable person I've ever read about, and a fine example of what we hope our young people will choose to emulate.A final thought: I'm an avid reader, but I wish this version had been out when I read the original. While still long, it is shorter than the first book, and I wouldn't consider this one to be at all "dumbed down." It would not be inappropriate for an adult to read this version instead of the other.

As a middle school librarian, I wanted to share this unbelievable, inspirational tale, but the more graphic & violent scenes in the adult version were disturbing and overwhelming.Laura Hillenbrand has taken out some of those more graphically violent parts of her adult version, but still communicated the depravity and inhumane treatment of Allied POW's by the Japanese. Unlike the Nazis, the Japanese were never brought to trial for crimes against humanity, and continue to teach revisionist history to the generations since.

This book is amazing. I had previously read the full adult version and I was afraid that the "young readers' version" would skimp on the details. I read this book to my 9 year-old son and 12 year-old daughter. They could not wait until bedtime each night to hear more of Louis Zamperini's amazing story.It has a great message about the power of forgiveness and faith in Jesus Christ.

Excellent story. Very disappointed that the "F" word had to be put in the young adult version. I purposely bought the young adult version for my 12 year old daughter to read hoping it would be a clean version. The word was only used once and could have been avoided all together. Other than that the book was excellent.

If one wants to understand the Greatest Generation, what they accomplished, and what they endured, this book provides insight as to why they became known as the Greatest Generation. Here is an example of complete, unrelenting dedication to his country, ready to make any sacrifice to save his country, and almost paid the ultimate price in doing so. This book is a revelation when it comes to showing what a prisoner of war experienced and the horrific treatment by the captors. It is also a revelation about resilience, forgiveness, and restoration of a life. Louie Zamperini is an inspiration, and he made this book well worth reading.

I was 7 when WW II began and lived near a Air Force training field so my fascination with WW II planes was instilled in me as a youngster. My brother ended up in the 8th Air Force and saw active duty in Europe doing exactly what the book depicts. My wife’s uncle was a P.O.W in Japan so we saw first hand what occurred to these captives and how it affected there entire post war lives. In addition I loved running track in HS. Book really hit home. Should be required reading for all current students.

Wonderful account of survival during WWII. From survival at sea after being shot down to survival in a prisoner of war camp. A grueling day by day account of beatings and this man's endurance to carry on. And at war's end, the capacity of him to forgive his tormentor. A great story.

I bought this book for work to better understand advanced functionality and settings of IIS. In the past I was constantly frustrated with IIS as I came from an Apache/Linux web hosting setup previously. This book has taught me features I could not find on Google and has helped me figure out throttling and load balancing. This book life’s on my desk now and I use it weekly for reference.

This is information that is hard to find. There are only two books available for IIS 7 development that I would even look at. The prior edition of this book is one of them, but the editing and code examples made it clear that the book was a piece-meal effort.The IIS 8 edition is far more cohesive, well written and absolutely up to date!If you are administering IIS, this will be helpful. If you are extending IIS manager or the schemas of IIS configuration, this book is indispensible.

This book is the very cheap version printed in India and intended only for sale there. The paper is very thin and the printing of the words and images is blurred and fuzzy. Numerous pages have grey blotches on them. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, and in fact, I've ordered the US version, intended for sale in the US.

This is an amazingly detailed and clear book on the ins and outs of IIS. I've been administering IIS for years and still found a lot of useful information and things I didn't know.This book will get you from beginner to confident admin in no time. I don't know of a better book on IIS that I've found.

Excellent IIS 8 reference.

In depth and applicable to most of IIS 6-7 as well. Gives a good big picture view of where MS is going with web services via the new IIS architecture and technology stack. Refer to it often as it contains a lot of information that's handy when working with this day to day, and has a lot of good recommended best practices.

I had the previous book on IIS 7.0 and didn't like it much but felt this one was much better written. Easy to read and lots of good info.

I've been running RPG games since I got the red box set at age nine. I'm damn good at it. Better than most I've met.That being said, I bow before the genius of this book.Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master breaks the creation of a gaming session into simple steps that can be completed within an hour or two. What's more, the vast majority of games will actually be improved using these methods. In his book, Mike Shea has focused in on what makes a RPG adventure great with an intensity that would put a beholder's eye-beams to shame.I've read a lot of how-to-DM guides, from the latest DMGs for Pathfinder and 5e to Gygax's old Master of the Game and too many Dragon Magazine articles to recall. This book tops them, and makes it look easy.The only downside to this book is that it isn't for brand-new DMs. If you've never run a game before, don't start here, it assumes knowledge you don't have yet. Once you've been at it for a year or so, however, come pick it up. Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master is an absolute must-have, and a steal at the list price.

The book offers more insight and expands upon the system implemented from the first book. There is a checklist of eight steps in this book for session building vs four from the last one. Overall the theme of the book seems to "you need to do more than I said you should do in the last book."There aren't any additional helpful tables in this book. I was a big fan of the "Here's 20 random npc names to use in your game" table in the back as well as additional quick guides. This book has options and references regarding outside resources, but nothing specific to the book.Overall it's an okay book. I'd recommend reading the first Lazy Dungeon Master over this one and I would only recommend this one to anyone who thought that the first book didn't flesh out the ideas as much as they would have liked.

I really enjoyed this book. Specifically it refocuses attention in game planning to avoid creating content that your players will never see, and instead lead you to set up games where their decisions matter, your prepared content gets used, and it's well laid out enough to be accessible when needed. From the first instance of prepping using the layout described in chapter 2, I got immediate positive results with my group. I'm going to continue using this to refine my games.

If you find yourself spending a lot of time to prepare for an RPG session, this is for you. It will give you techniques for streamlining your process and avoiding the wasted work of over-planning.

This book really took the stress out of DM prep. I used to over prepare which actually railroads your players. I like the previous book but this is a much better approach.

Loved the checklists at the end of each chapter. Tons of practical advice to maximize your prep time so you're ready for a session but don't waste time on things that won't get referenced. Great job, Michael!

I found it to be a bunch of stories about different persons rise and falls and noreal information to make money...so now is when you have to pay to get info...for sure i would have not bought it if i knew ahead of time about the content.

Don't bother.Seriously. Don't bother.Very little actionable information. It's the equivalent of an infomercial- a lot of hype, nothing useful.

I ordered this book and received it very quickly. I had a question about the book because I thought I had ordered the wrong one at first, and they were very helpful and quickly answered my questions. As far as the book goes, first of all I am a huge Dan Lok fan. And in his book he did not disappoint. I like how he points out how important mindset is and how limiting beliefs can hold people back. I also really enjoyed how he emphasizes the importance of taking responsibility for your own life and not pointing fingers at others. If your business sucks, it's because you suck as a business owner and not because of anything that anyone else has done or said. He speaks the truth and is brutally honest about your business and at the same time is very candid and open with information that will help you to succeed. It's an excellent read. He is very straightforward and once again brutally honest, so if you don't like the truth then you won't like what he has to say. However, if you have a growth mindset on our open for self development, growth and Improvement then he is definitely the author for you. His books are well-written, straightforward, to the point and have interesting stories within the chapters as well. I would highly recommend all of his books, Especially this one F.Um Money 💰 and his book Influence: 47 forbidden psychological tactics you can use to motivate, influence and persuade your prospect. Probably one of his best books in my humble opinion. You really cannot go wrong with this man if you are trying to improve your business and yourself. (He also has an amazing YouTube channel called Boss in the Bentley and a podcast called standing on the shoulders of Titans, also great ways to expand your mindset). I love this guy's teachings and his style, he's nothing short of amazing and genius

You must be wondering why there only one star for a great book like this...Yes, i just aim to get your attention and tell you that this is a good book!

If you've ever watched his Ted Talk, then you probably don't need this book. It's mostly rooted in the basics of any money wisdom you can find in better books and is full of profanity, which is a bit distracting and makes it less likely to be suggested to others.

Mr. Dan, I just finished reading your book and I have realized just how lazy I have been, how many excuses I have made as to why I'm not financially free. Thank you for writing this book and giving me the kick in the face that I needed to get my head screwed in right. My goal now is to do my research and get my business started.
